Who it's for
Formulated for people managing hard-to-heal wounds
EpiThrive delivers targeted nutritional support as an adjunct to standard wound care for those managing:
Diabetic foot ulcers
Pressure injuries (bedsores)
Venous leg ulcers
Surgical wounds
Burns
Chronic / non-healing wounds
EpiThrive is a nutritional adjunct, not a treatment. Always follow the wound-care plan advised by your doctor.
How it works
Healing is metabolically expensive. EpiThrive helps meet the demand.
A healing wound raises the body's need for protein, specific amino acids, and key micronutrients. When those needs aren't met, the body has less of the raw material repair depends on. EpiThrive is formulated to supply that raw material in clinically relevant doses — as a nutritional adjunct alongside standard wound care.
L-Arginine & L-Glutamine
Conditionally essential amino acids the body draws on heavily during recovery — supplied at clinically relevant doses to support the raised demand.
Marine Collagen Peptides
Provides the specific amino-acid building blocks — including glycine and proline — that connective tissue is made from.
10 Essential Micronutrients
Including zinc and vitamin C — micronutrients that contribute to the normal function of the immune system and to normal collagen formation.

What's inside
What's in every sachet
One 24 g sachet, once a day — a considered formulation of amino acids, marine collagen peptides, and essential micronutrients to support your body's nutritional needs during wound management. Tap any ingredient to learn about the role it plays.
Full ingredient details and quantities are shown on the product label. EpiThrive® is a food supplement (nutraceutical), not a medicine, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
L-Arginine
Conditionally essential amino acid
The role it plays. L-arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid — one the body usually makes enough of, but may require more of during periods of physical stress and recovery. It's a building block used in the body's normal protein synthesis and is involved in the normal production of nitric oxide, part of healthy circulation.
Why we include it. Because the body's requirement for it can rise while it is under repair, EpiThrive supplies it at a clinically relevant level so that raised nutritional need can be met through the diet.

Conditionally essential amino acid
The role it plays. L-glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body and a normal fuel source for rapidly dividing cells, including cells of the immune system and the lining of the gut. During metabolic stress, the body can use it faster than it is made.
Why we include it. Meeting that increased demand through nutrition supports the body's own normal repair and defence processes during recovery.

Type I collagen building blocks
The role it plays. Collagen is the main structural protein in skin and connective tissue. Marine collagen peptides provide the specific amino acids — including glycine and proline — that the body uses as raw material to make its own collagen.
Why we include it. Supplying these building blocks helps ensure the body has the nutritional raw material its normal tissue-repair processes rely on.

Calcium β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate
The role it plays. Ca-HMB is a metabolite of the essential amino acid leucine. It has been studied for its role in supporting the maintenance of lean muscle and tissue, which can be affected during illness, reduced mobility, or recovery.
Why we include it. Preserving lean tissue is part of overall nutritional resilience during a period of recovery.
Read the Ca-HMB guide, with references →10 Essential Micronutrients
Including zinc and vitamin C
The role it plays. EpiThrive includes a blend of essential micronutrients. Among them, zinc and vitamin C are recognised to contribute to normal collagen formation and to the normal function of the immune system.
Why we include it. Adequate micronutrient intake underpins many of the body's everyday repair and defence processes; the blend is designed to help maintain that intake.

The science
The science behind the ingredients
Healing places extra nutritional demands on the body. EpiThrive is formulated around nutrients whose roles in the body's normal repair and defence processes are described in published, independent nutritional science. The research summarised below examines these nutrients in the general literature — it is educational, and does not represent studies of EpiThrive itself.
Amino acids: L-Arginine & L-Glutamine
Conditionally essential amino acids — ones the body normally makes, but may need more of during physical stress and recovery. Independent research has examined their roles in processes the body relies on during repair, including collagen deposition, immune function and nitrogen balance.
Marine Collagen Peptides
Collagen is the main structural protein in skin and connective tissue. Marine collagen peptides supply the specific building blocks — glycine, proline and hydroxyproline — the body uses to make its own collagen. Oral collagen peptides have been studied as a nutritional adjunct in randomised controlled trials in people managing pressure ulcers.
How to read this evidence
The references here are independent studies of individual nutrients. They describe the roles these nutrients play in nutrition and wound care generally. Nutritional support works alongsid the wound-care plan your doctor provides.
EpiThrive is a nutritional adjunct, intended to complement the treatment plan your doctor provides — never to replace it.

Using EpiThrive
EpiThrive is formulated for adults managing hard-to-heal or recovering wounds — including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, surgical wounds, burns and chronic or non-healing wounds — who want to support their nutrition alongside standard care.
Empty one sachet into a glass of water (about 200 ml), stir well and drink. The recommended intake is one sachet daily, or as advised by your healthcare professional.
EpiThrive can be taken at any convenient time of day. Many people take it at the same time each day to build a routine. Follow any specific guidance from your doctor or dietitian.

Orange Flavour. Each sachet is designed to mix easily into water.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the sachets sealed until use and out of reach of children.
Safety & suitability
EpiThrive is generally well tolerated. As with any amino-acid or protein supplement, some people may notice mild digestive discomfort when starting. If you experience any unusual or persistent effects, stop use and consult your doctor.
Please speak to your doctor before starting EpiThrive if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney or liver disease, have a fish allergy, follow a protein- or amino-acid-restricted diet, or take any regular medication. Your doctor can advise whether and how it fits your individual situation.
Many people managing diabetic foot ulcers use EpiThrive as part of their nutrition. If you have diabetes, please check with your doctor before starting, so they can advise how it fits with your overall plan and monitoring.
EpiThrive is a food supplement, but because it provides amino acids and micronutrients, it's best to check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take regular medication or other supplements, so they can confirm it's appropriate alongside them.
EpiThrive is intended for adults. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before use.
EpiThrive is formulated for adults and is not intended for children. For anyone under 18, please consult a doctor.
EpiThrive is used by many older adults managing wounds. As older adults are more likely to have other conditions or take multiple medications, it's a good idea to check with their doctor first.
